Stripe website requirements: the checklist Stripe reviews against

Stripe publishes a website checklist and reviews new accounts against it. When an application is held for 'more information about your website' or a live account is reviewed, the fastest way out is to make every item on that list visible on the site. The website is only part of Stripe's decision: chargeback rates, industry and account history matter too, and a scan cannot see those.

What usually causes it

How to fix it

  1. Write product descriptions and show the currency.
  2. Add email and address to the footer.
  3. Publish the four fulfilment policies and a privacy policy.
  4. Check your products against Stripe's restricted businesses list before applying.
Takes about 30 seconds. We read the public pages any reviewer reads: home, contact, about, policies and a sample of products.

Not legal advice. Policies change; each rule above names the page it restates and when it was read.
