These terms cover the Shopify app Product Markup for AI Shopping, its theme app embed and web pixel, and the free storefront scanner at app.youraiquotient.com/scan. Installing the app, or using the scanner, means you accept them.
It reads your Shopify catalogue, scores each product against published requirements from Shopify Catalog, Google Merchant Center and the OpenAI product feed, drafts the missing data, and writes back only what you approve. It adds structured data to your product pages through a theme app embed you switch on, it can measure visits that AI assistants send you, and it can record whether AI assistants name your products when asked shopping questions.
This matters more than anything else here.
The app never writes to your store on its own. Every change begins as a draft, labelled with its source, and is applied only after you approve it. You are responsible for reviewing what you approve. Drafts for categories, attributes, alt text, descriptions and barcodes are generated by software, some of it language models, and may be wrong: a category may not fit, a looked-up barcode may belong to a different product, a description may read poorly. Approving a draft is your decision and your representation that the change is correct for your products.
We keep the previous value of everything the app writes, and any approved batch can be rolled back in one click from within the app. That is the remedy for an approval you regret.
We do not promise that your products will appear in, be recommended by, or rank anywhere within ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Copilot, Perplexity, Claude, Shopify Catalog or any other system. Nobody outside those platforms knows how they choose. What the app offers is completeness against published requirements, and a record of what the assistants actually said. Any score, gap list, referral count or answer check is a measurement, not a forecast.
Third-party data, such as barcode lookups, review metafields and Merchant Center statuses, is provided as received and is not warranted by us.
The app asks Shopify only for the permissions listed in the Privacy Policy, and uses each for the purpose stated there. It does not request access to your customers, orders or checkouts. If a future version needs a new permission, Shopify will ask you to approve it before the app can use it.
Plans are sold through Shopify's managed pricing and billed by Shopify to your Shopify invoice. We never see your card details. The plans, their prices and what each includes are shown in the App Store listing and on the plan page in the app, and the app enforces the limits of the plan you hold: how many products receive the detailed gap list, how many fixes the app drafts for you each month, how many shopping questions the weekly answer check asks, and how many AI assistants it asks them of. Approving and rolling back drafts is never limited. The store score always covers your whole catalogue.
Charges recur monthly until cancelled. Uninstalling the app cancels the subscription through Shopify. Because Shopify processes the payments, refunds follow Shopify's policies; write to us and we will support a reasonable request. If an agency plan with linked client stores is offered, its terms and any per-store charge are shown when the plan is chosen.
You confirm that you have the right to the product data in your store, and that changes you approve do not infringe anyone's rights or break the law where you sell. If you switch on the web pixel, you are responsible for your storefront's cookie and consent notices; the pixel honours the analytics consent Shopify reports to it. If you use an agency workspace, the agency confirms it is authorised by each client store it links, and each store confirms it consents to the agency seeing its score, gap list and product data.
The public scanner reads what any visitor's browser can read from a storefront: public product endpoints, product pages, robots.txt. Use it on stores you own or have permission to assess. Do not automate it, resell it, or use it to overwhelm anyone's site; we rate-limit it and may block abuse. Results are shareable by link and are not confidential.
We aim to keep the app running and will give notice of planned interruption where we can, but the service is provided as is. Scheduled work such as the weekly answer check and digest depends on third-party APIs that we do not control, and an assistant may be unavailable in a given week.
Our handling of data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: the app requests no protected customer data, and uninstalling it deletes everything we hold for your store.
You may uninstall at any time. We may suspend or end access for non-payment, for abuse of the scanner or the API, or where continuing would break the law or Shopify's Partner Program Agreement. On termination we delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
To the fullest extent the law allows, the app is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.
Quantum Quotient LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
We may change these terms; material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect, and continuing to use the app after that means accepting them.
Colorado law governs these terms, and the state and federal courts of Colorado have exclusive jurisdiction. Shopify is not a party to these terms.
